AINC’s mission is to empower individuals to be self-sufficient, connected to the community, and continuously learning, and what better way to support us than connecting our listeners to the great Colorado outdoors. Registration is open to anyone, and thanks to generous donors and grants, AINC will be providing this experience for FREE to print-impaired Coloradoans.

On August 28th AINC’s Team, the AINC Audio Trekkers, invites you to join our team of 10 hikers who are blind/visually impaired and 10 sighted guides.

Registration Includes:

I’ve never hiked before. Can I do this?

Absolutely!  We believe in moving beyond your comfort zone to grow and reach goals. The professional mountain guides will be there along the way to support, encourage, and inspire you. If you have specific accessibility questions or concerns, please contact us so that we can ensure everyone reaches their Summit. 

I’m an avid hiker. Will I be bored?

 No way! You pick the challenge that’s right for you, and we’ll let you lead the charge. You’ll also be hiking alongside people that have climbed the world’s tallest peaks. The hike is about reaching your summit and gaining perspective on what it means to give your absolute best to the world.

If I want to spend the night nearby, is there recommended lodging?

  • Hyatt Place Keystone – $119/night (rate does not include $20/nightly resort fee, taxes, or fees)

What should I bring?

  • good hiking boots/shoes
  • rain jacket
  • layers (base layer with two layers you can shed/add)
  • backpack to carry your own water/snacks and provided bag lunch
  • hiking poles
  • sun hat
  • sun block
  • all personal medications
  • camera or cell phone to take pictures
  • favorite hiking snacks (sweet and salty)
